Mickey pairs her passions for troubleshooting and improving accessibility for people with disabilities to offer a way to give back and make life easier for others. She particularly loves working with Drupal, where accessibility is valued and baked in.
Mickey is also driven by a desire for learning, having earned a B.A. in Music from Mansfield University and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois. She also holds a Certificate of Accessible Information Technology from the University of Southern Maine and is an IAAP Certified Professional in Web Accessibility. In 2013, she switched from a career in musical instrument repair to web development because of the never-ending learning curve it provides.
After hiking the 500-mile Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango in 2011, Mickey fell in love with the mountains, where she spends as much time as she can hiking, biking, and running. She also has a passion for growing organic, nutrient-dense foods through regenerative gardening practices.
