We plan for all team members to take at least three weeks of PTO per year, plus we close the company for a Winter Break between Christmas and New Year’s. We highly recommend everyone remove Slack and email from their devices so they aren’t tempted to check in on work.
We rarely put in more than 4o hours per week. There may be times during a launch or event that people work extra hours, but we encourage them to take more time off later so it balances out.
Creating cool stuff for the web doesn’t require us to be in the same building, so as long as you have a reliable internet connection and you’re not dialing into meetings in the middle of the night, you’re free to live or travel wherever you like.
