Senior Designer and Frontend Engineer
Designer, Developer, and Gamer
Randy Oest is a developer, thinker, and teacher who wants to make people happy and confident online.
“Interacting with our environment is something that at a fundamental level, everyone understands. Balls roll downhill, apples fall from trees, and the knob in the sink turns on the water. As I heard it said in a podcast once, ‘you never have to worry that gravity.js has a bug.’ But in the digital world the experience can get murky or behave in odd ways.”
As a designer and frontend engineer, Randy’s goal is to make the online world as approachable, as understandable, and as delightful as the real world.
Recent Four Kitchens Projects
- Frontline (MDedge.com) – Designer and Frontend Developer. This was a tough situation as there were a lot of constraints on the project, e.g. time, budget, scheduling, that had to be juggled. In the end we launched with an excellent site that is doing well.
- NYU Wagner – Frontend Lead. I worked with the client to take their designs and goals and make a new site for them in Drupal 8.
