Generous PTO Policy
Whether it’s a planned vacation to Italy, a day off to spend with friends, or a surprise sick day, we want to make sure you’re taking the time you need to power down. We plan for each team member to take 25 days off per year. Plus, we have specific policies for parental leave, personal leave, and jury duty that complement our generous PTO policy.
In addition to this, we also take time off to celebrate the following holidays each year:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Day
- 4K Founding Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving (two days)
- Winter Holiday (generally the week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve)
- New Year’s Eve
We want team members to be able to choose health plans that fit their needs and are happy to be able to provide a variety of options through our co-employment partnership with TriNet Professional Employment Organization (PEO).
All full-time, permanent team members are eligible for health, dental and vision insurance, administered through TriNet. Each plan type has several plan level options, including one that is 100% paid. Our health plans are offered through United Healthcare and other carriers, depending on location. Our vision and dental plans are offered through Aetna and Guardian. Dependant coverage for these plans can be added at an additional cost.
Short and Long Term Disability Insurance
We want to make sure you’re not worried about what would happen in the case of an injury, so we offer employer-paid disability insurance for our team members.
Whether you’re planning an early retirement or a long career, we want to help you reach your goals. Four Kitchens offers a 3% non-elective employer contribution to your retirement savings, regardless of whether you contribute toward it yourself.
Professional Development and Education Budget
We offer each of our full-time team members a $2,000 annual professional development and education budget. This can be spent on conferences, seminars, classes, books—anything that advances your professional goals.
Being a fully distributed company, we recognize that your home office has needs, too. We offer each of our team members a $150/month tech budget to spend on anything from a new chair to better Internet.
